Next Generation Updates: Six Weeks of Cuteness Overload!

It has been an incredible, exhausting and rewarding six weeks since our Next Generation litter arrived. All of these kittens are nothing short of amazing. Transitioning to the nursery, they've had their first health check and vaccinations. And boy, these little guys were the hit of the show. Drawing attention from the entire clinic, they got showered with love and affection from easily over a half dozen people. They blew through the whole experience with flying colors. Now it's time for new experiences: slow introductions to new people, places and older feline friends. For those little ones with specialized training requests, their education will also begin with a little training ever couple of days, until they are comfortable. These lil guys and gal are a blast to watch as they play, chase and explore the brave new world. Boldly going where... wait... you know the rest.

The Pitter-Patter of Tiny Paws: Upcoming Litters

The excitement and the bellies are growing here as we anticipate the arrival of Quinn's litter around April 10th, followed by Nora's in May. While mother nature keeps the exact dates a mystery, we're preparing the birthing area with love and care for the new lives about to join us. Both mothers are doing wonderfully, and we are counting down the days.

A Fond Farewell: Honoring Our Retirees

We are preparing a retirement ceremony for two of our cherished cats, Barney and Robin. Robin is a wonderful mother, who dotes and genuinely adores her babies, but the stress of heat cycles and motherhood is rough on her physically. Here at WiseGuy our cats and kittens' mental wellbeing is our top priority. If the mind is strong, it can help the body overcome almost anything. So, we have opted to spay her and place her in a forever home where she never has to worry about anything ever again, except which lap is more comfortable that day. She is not going far however, as she has already found the perfect family nearby. Barney, our handsome Tom, will also retire, making way for a new male that aligns more closely with the TICA breed standard. Barney also isn't going far-he's already secured a spot in my husband's heart and will spend the rest of his days as a beloved pet and companion.

Looking Ahead: The WiseGuy Vision

Reflecting on our journey at WiseGuy, it’s clear that we’ve navigated a challenging and rewarding path. Each step has been a learning experience, filled with moments of both successes and failures. Our commitment to the well-being of our kittens means we’re dedicated to finding them the perfect homes—a task we don’t take lightly. We cherish each kitten and, given the choice, would keep them all rather than risk their happiness. Yet the more I keep, the less I am likely to breed, it is a delicate balance. We only have three breeding age females in our cattery, and since they are having litters so closely, it may be a while before we have any other kittens. It is possible that may change in the future, but as we all know, the future is always in motion, difficult to see it is... wait, wrong franchise. I apologize for that (not really, I saw the shot, I took it).

For those families whom have selected kittens already from our Next Gen litter, Thank you. And welcome to the family. We look forward to a long happy life filled with stories and photos.

For those families considering a WiseGuy kitten we say, "hello. Pull up a chair and stay a while."
